In This Month's Krier
Hollywood Comes to Killingworth

While a premiere date had not been firmly established at press time, you can check for updates at http://admiralatlantisandwolfpunch.com and also on Facebook. The movie is suitable for all ages. The $400-budget movie features characters created by Blewett and Chase while students at HKHS. In this film, Admiral Atlantis and Wolf Punch struggle to fend off an up-and-coming villain, while still balancing their friendship.
The light-hearted, action-adventure film features both Chase and Blewett as the title characters, as well as cameos from other HK graduates. Blewett is a film major at New York University and Chase is a film major at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI.
"We've been working on the film for over a year, starting last November," notes Blewett. "After a few months of writing and preparing, we shot it during the summer from June to August on a combination of our own equipment and some pieces borrowed from HK. CLICK TO READ MORE
KCC Directory Cover Photo Chosen

Milano, a past editor of the Killingworth Krier, used her faithful Canon EOS 7D to capture Opie and Max grazing in early September morning mist on the original Roast Meat "Hill".
"A resident of Killingworth for over 25 years, I am still frequently amazed at the natural beauty that surrounds us in this little New England town," says Milano. " I have always loved photography, a true form of art that yields instant results, especially now in this digital age. I take most of my photos using natural light, most of the time shunning flash.
"I also have a mentor in local photographer Tim Gannon," she adds. "People often think a bright sunny day is the best for taking pictures, but in truth you capture some of the most stunning images in less than perfect weather conditions."
For the past five years, the Chamber of Commerce has solicited photos from the public to appear on the cover of the annual Directory printed each January. This year photos from five town residents were received. Bill Shipman, Mary Russo and Amy Etra all submitted photos of the Field of Flags that was displayed at the Congregational Church last spring - a truly moving display. Alan Laming submitted photos of one of the town's most photographed locations - Chatfield Hollow State Park. James Durso submitted photos from several locations including Chatfield Hollow State Park and a beautiful shot of mystical sun rays through the trees.
All the photos we received were equally representative of our beautiful town and are posted here. The KCC thanks everyone who submitted their photos, they were all beautiful.
